About the position

The Hospitality Assistant position is designed to provide comprehensive support in food service and housekeeping for couples and guests. This role involves preparing meals, maintaining cleanliness in various areas, and ensuring a welcoming environment for all visitors. The assistant will also engage with guests, adhering to health and safety standards while performing their duties.

Responsibilities

• Prepares meals from predetermined menus for intensives, retreats, and special events
• Serves and interacts with couples and guests, being sensitive to their needs
• Maintains cleanliness of the kitchen and dining area daily
• Observes and follows all Health Department Codes
• Attends and maintains Chemical Training
• Cleans guest cabins, including bedrooms, bathrooms, and sitting areas
• Maintains cleanliness of all guest and staff spaces throughout the property
• Performs general cleaning tasks such as dusting, vacuuming, and mopping floors
• Stocks amenities and launders kitchen, bath, and bed linens as needed
• Is aware of areas that are off-limits for cleaning due to noise
• Performs laundry as needed
• Completes other duties as required

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 1-3 years of experience in food service preparation
• Must achieve and maintain Serve Safe Certification and Chemical Training Certification
• Strong customer service and people skills
• Ability to read, write, and follow written and verbal instructions
• Flexible in adjusting priorities
• Ability to work independently with very little immediate supervision
• Ability to work with various food preparation machines and equipment, sharp knives, and various chemicals
