Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care to inmates/detainees while ensuring a safe and secure workplace.
• Perform comprehensive physical assessments and gather medical histories.
• Evaluate patients' symptoms, reactions, and progress, reporting issues to the Physician and management.
• Administer medications securely and ensure compliance with prescribed instructions.
• Educate patients on chronic illnesses and post-hospitalization care.
• Supervise the workflow of Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) staff and contribute to performance evaluations.
• Document all detainee/inmate contacts and maintain confidentiality of medical records.
• Adhere to industry and company accreditation policies.

Requirements

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree from an accredited nursing program.
• Current, unrestricted RN license in the state of practice.
• Two years of direct work experience as a Registered Nurse preferred.
• Competence in crisis intervention, medical emergencies, physical assessment, and psychiatric nursing care.
• Ability to work independently and perform nursing diagnoses with appropriate follow-through treatment.
• Proficiency in using computers and relevant software.
