About the position

The PA/ACNP Trauma/Burn Surgery position at Banner University Medical Center Tucson involves providing collaborative inpatient and outpatient care for burn surgery patients. The role includes performing patient consultations, physical examinations, and follow-ups under physician supervision, while also supporting education for residents, students, and nursing staff. The ideal candidate will manage the clinical care of poly trauma burn patients and contribute to research projects and outreach activities.

Responsibilities

• Perform patient consultations and physical examinations under physician supervision.
• Manage follow-up care for burn surgery patients in both inpatient and outpatient settings.
• Support the education of residents, students, and nursing staff.
• Contribute to research projects and outreach activities related to burn care.
• Handle multifaceted requests and pressures in the burn and wound care setting efficiently.

Requirements

• Current AZ License as a PA or ACNP.
• Board Certification as a PA or ACNP.
• DEA License and BLS certification.
• Desire to work alongside and educate students, residents, and nursing staff.
• Experience in wound, burn, or acute patient care is preferred.

Nice-to-haves

• TNCC or ATLS certification is preferred.
• Experience in EMS is a plus.
