About The Position

The University of Pittsburgh Physicians is seeking a full-time Physician Assistant (PA) or Certified Registered Nurse Practitioner (CRNP) to support the Inpatient OB/GYN services at UPMC Magee Women's Hospital and UPMC Presbyterian Hospital. This role involves providing patient care in a collaborative environment, focusing on postpartum care and OB/GYN consults. The position requires working three 12-hour shifts per week, with some weekend rotations, and emphasizes the importance of establishing relationships with patients and healthcare teams to achieve optimal patient outcomes.

Requirements

  • Current state RN license and CRNP certification for CRNP candidates.
  • Current state PA license certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) for PA candidates.
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) preferred for CRNP.
  • Completion of an approved nurse practitioner program or physician assistant program accredited by ARC-PA.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience or completion of a post-graduate residency for senior level candidates.
  • Current CPR certification is required.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in a clinical setting as a physician assistant or nurse practitioner.
  • Membership in a professional organization related to nursing or physician assistance.
