About the position

As a Package Sorter at Amazon, you will play a crucial role in the delivery process by preparing inventory for delivery and ensuring that packages are sorted and staged efficiently. This fast-paced position involves physical activity and the use of technology to manage orders, contributing to the overall goal of delivering smiles to customers.

Responsibilities

• Receive and prepare inventory for delivery
• Use technology like smartphones and handheld devices to sort, scan, and prepare orders
• Build, wrap, sort, and transport pallets and packages
• Lift up to 49 pounds
• Receive truck deliveries
• View prompts on screens and follow direction for some tasks
• Stand, walk, push, pull, squat, bend, and reach during shifts
• Use carts, dollies, hand trucks, and other gear to move items around
• Go up and down stairs (when applicable)
• Work at a height of up to 40 feet on a mezzanine (when applicable)

Requirements

• Candidates must be 18 years or older
• Ability to understand and adhere to all job requirements and safety guidelines in English
