About the position

The Packager position at Avient is an entry-level role within the manufacturing area, focusing on weigh-up and packaging duties in the production department. The role is essential for ensuring product quality, cost-effectiveness, and adherence to customer specifications and delivery requirements, all while following Avient's policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Obtain the correct documentation for the batch.
• Ensure the correct ingredients are delivered to the work area.
• Obtain the correct ingredients for mixing and weigh out the ingredients to meet recipe specifications.
• Set up and start weigh-up or packaging machinery, checking all controls for adherence to operating/safety procedures.
• Notify appropriate personnel of any issues, problems, or concerns in a timely manner.
• Safely and neatly process, batch off, screen, cut up, package and/or skid material to correct size/container according to customer specifications.
• Accurately supply/support Production Operators with appropriate materials/functions to efficiently keep all equipment operational.
• Perform all required machine cleaning.
• Complete and maintain required paperwork and/or documents.
• Follow and comply with all safety and work rules and regulations.
• Maintain departmental housekeeping standards.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• Fork Lift Operators License
• Problem Solving Techniques
• Industrial Operations experience
