About the position

The Packaging Associate position at Pactiv Evergreen involves working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, specifically in packing finished goods and preparing products for shipment. The role requires individuals to perform quality checks, operate machinery, and maintain safety and cleanliness in the workspace. Responsibilities

• Safely and effectively pack finished goods and prepare products for shipment.
• Perform quality checks and ensure correct counts on various product sizes and pack into appropriate packaging.
• Make minor machine adjustments to minimize interruptions and ensure quality product.
• Replace adhesive tape in hand tapers and automatic sealing machinery.
• Ensure that finished goods or work in progress identification labels are present and placed correctly.
• Stack finished products in the correct configuration, ready for transportation.
• Maintain good housekeeping and ensure safety in the work area.
• Promptly inform the supervisor of any health and safety, hygiene, quality, and efficiency issues.
• Follow all company rules and policies, adhering to safety regulations.
• Complete paperwork accurately and in a timely manner.

Requirements

• At least 6 months of previous fast-paced manufacturing experience.
• Ability to work a 12-hour shift.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Ability to follow standard work instructions.

Nice-to-haves

• Previous packer experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment is highly preferred.
