About the position

The Packaging Associate position at Pactiv Evergreen involves working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment to pack finished goods and prepare products for shipment. The role requires adherence to safety and quality standards while performing various tasks related to packaging and equipment maintenance. Responsibilities

• Safely and effectively pack finished goods and prepare products for shipment.
• Perform quality checks and ensure correct counts on various product sizes and pack into appropriate packaging.
• Make minor machine adjustments to minimize interruptions and ensure quality product.
• Replace adhesive tape in hand tapers and automatic sealing machinery.
• Ensure that finished goods or work in progress identification labels are present and placed correctly.
• Stack finished products in the correct configuration, ready for transportation.
• Maintain good housekeeping and ensure that areas of responsibility are safe, clean, and tidy.
• Promptly inform the supervisor of any health and safety, hygiene, quality, and efficiency issues.
• Follow all company established rules and policies, adhering to safety regulations.
• Complete paperwork accurately and in a timely manner.

Requirements

• At least 6 months previous fast-paced manufacturing experience.
• Ability to work a 12-hour shift.
• Ability to follow standard work instructions.
• Experience with assembly line work, packing, and machine operator assistance.

Nice-to-haves

• Previous packer experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment is highly preferred.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
