About The Position
The Packaging Operator works under the general direction of the Packaging Supervisor and coordinates the activities of Packaging Operator Trainees. This role is responsible for the total operation of all manual, semiautomatic, and automatic packaging lines, including quality control, material procurement, line setup, adjustment of product within specifications, light preventative maintenance, and communication necessary to operate the line. The operator may also train other packaging employees, ensure proper procedures are followed, and maintain a smooth flow of production in the work area. Additional responsibilities include assisting in the operation of the department with a focus on GMPs, quality control, safety, and production control, as well as maintaining documentation and inventory controls.
