The Packaging Production Operator at Land O'Lakes, Inc. plays a crucial role in the production process of dairy products, ensuring that raw materials are handled properly and that the final products are packaged according to company standards. This position involves a variety of tasks that range from operating and monitoring packaging equipment to ensuring that the finished products meet regulatory and customer specifications. The operator will be responsible for the assembly, disassembly, and cleaning of equipment, as well as ensuring that the proper weight and coding are achieved on the finished products before they are stored. Additionally, the operator will palletize and transport the finished packaged products to the warehouse, ensuring that all operations are conducted in accordance with company policies and procedures. The role requires working in a Dairy Foods manufacturing facility, where the operator will be involved in creating dairy products that embody the values of real, simple goodness. The operator will work in a dynamic environment that may include exposure to varying temperature zones and dust, necessitating the use of personal protective equipment. The position operates on a rotating 12-hour shift schedule, specifically Crew 3, which runs from 6:00 PM to 6:00 AM, following a 2-2-3 rotation. This role is essential in maintaining the efficiency and quality of the production process, contributing to the overall mission of Land O'Lakes to improve production and find innovative uses for dairy products.

Responsibilities

• Operate, monitor, and control the powder packaging and coding equipment in accordance with all regulatory, customer, and company operating procedures.
• Assemble, disassemble, and clean equipment as necessary.
• Ensure the proper weight and code is achieved on the finished product prior to storing.
• Palletize and transport finished packaged product to the warehouse.
• Operate the sack filling bagging equipment according to company policies, practices, and procedures.

Requirements

• Must be 18 years or older.
• 6+ months of relevant work experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Basic computer skills.

Nice-to-haves

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
