About the position
The Packaging Specialist role at Adecco involves working in the Central Fill Pharmacy of a major pharmaceutical company, focusing on the picking, packaging, and shipping of prescriptions. This position is essential for ensuring that medications are accurately prepared and delivered to retail pharmacies and customers in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Pick, pack and ship prescriptions directly to retail pharmacies and end-customers.
- Fill, pack and ship prescriptions with 100% accuracy and efficiency using Standard Operating Procedures (SOP).
- Read computer-generated screens to find indicated merchandise and verify quantity and dosage before selection.
- Examine stock and distribute materials in inventory.
- Maintain housekeeping and proper storage of goods, ensuring correct shelf labels for merchandise locations.
- May require mandatory overtime based on business needs.
Requirements
- High School Degree or equivalent experience.
- One year of warehouse or fulfillment center experience.
- Basic computer skills.
- Knowledge of federal and state HIPAA laws.
- Basic mathematic skills.
- Ability to operate a hand truck/dolly and scanning units.
