About the position

The Packaging Test Engineer will be responsible for conducting various tests on packaging materials and products to ensure compliance with industry standards and customer specifications. This role involves managing technical documentation, maintaining test equipment, and supporting research and development efforts in creating new testing processes and materials.

Responsibilities

• Conduct package and material tests per industry standards (ISTA, ASTM) and customer specifications.
• Complete test reports and maintain records per company standards.
• Manage technical documentation related to testing processes.
• Ensure test equipment calibration and maintain compliance with standards.
• Renew ISTA certification and ISO 17025 accreditation.
• Support R&D in developing new test processes, designs, and materials.
• Oversee laboratory equipment and produce testing fixtures as needed.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or higher in mechanical engineering, industrial design, or packaging technology.
• Minimum of 3 years of laboratory experience, ideally in product/packaging testing.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with ISTA and ASTM testing standards.
• Familiarity with ISO 17025 accreditation processes.
