About The Position

Requirements

• High School Diploma (or GED or High School Equivalence Certificate).
• Previous work experience in a manufacturing setting preferred.
• Knowledge of packing processes, quality control, weights and measurements, and conversion of KG to LB.
• Knowledge of machines used in the packaging and THM processes, with an understanding of safety operations of equipment.
• Ability to understand written sentences and paragraphs in work-related documents.
• Consistent, dependable attendance and willingness to accommodate non-standard work hours as necessary.
• Ability to manage job-related stress and foster productive workplace interactions.

Responsibilities

• Read repack paperwork to ensure proper specifications for the product being packaged.
• Prepare packaging for finished products by placing labels and building pallets.
• Inspect products, document inspections, and report concerns promptly to the supervisor.
• Package material neatly and efficiently with proper labeling, stretch wrap, and banding.
• Weigh finished bags and pallets, recording accurate weights according to product specifications.
• Keep up with customer demand and shipping schedules.
• Oversee and maintain recycling programs within the building, identifying and segregating recyclable materials.
• Package, weigh, and properly label scrap material for sale.
• Package and label recyclable materials for transport to the central warehouse.
• Maintain scrap pallets and reusable packaging for production use.
• Clean and maintain main areas of the plant and assist with specific cleaning tasks.
• Operate floor sweepers and forklifts, with occasional man lift operations.
• Assist co-workers when needed and keep the work area neat and clean.
