About the position

The Packer Picker position in the Shipping Department at WAC Lighting involves essential responsibilities related to packing, picking, and processing orders with a focus on accuracy and efficiency. Responsibilities

• Pack, pick, and process orders with attention to accuracy and special instructions.
• Trace shipments when needed.
• Restock materials and track inventory levels.
• Perform daily cycle counts and verify information for accuracy.
• Receive air and boat shipments, preparing the warehouse and verifying packing lists.
• Maintain sufficient levels of shipping supplies by ordering through the manager.
• Assist with year-end physical inventory.
• Maintain cleanliness and safety of the warehouse and facility.
• Process all daily orders to be shipped on the same day.
• Prepare the warehouse for incoming shipments and coordinate receipt of shipments.
• Receive and control inventory.

Requirements

• High school education or equivalent.
• 5 years of shipping experience in a warehouse or distribution center environment.
• Work experience in a fast-paced, performance-based environment using an RF scanner.
• Ability to promote a positive attitude and collaborative approach to team success.
• Proven ability to support a safe, clean, and organized work environment.
• Basic computer skills.
• Ability to repeatedly lift up to 50 pounds from the floor to shoulder height.
• Ability to work standing for long periods of time.
