About the position

Prime Video (PV) is seeking a talented Paid Media Launch Manager to lead the execution of paid media across various digital channels, including paid social platforms like Meta and TikTok, as well as YouTube. This role is crucial in contributing to the overall campaign launch strategy for Prime Video, focusing on maximizing and optimizing marketing and media investments in a programmatic manner to drive brand equity, engagement, and subscriber acquisition. The Paid Media Launch Manager will ensure that agency partner teams effectively balance targeting and bid methods to achieve intended outcomes, all while adhering to efficiency guardrails and timelines. In this position, you will actively represent results across functional peer reviews, ensuring that insights and techniques are utilized to improve channel effectiveness. A key aspect of this role is the ability to earn trust and demonstrate high fidelity stewardship to meet project milestones, while effectively communicating updates across a wide marketing stakeholder team, including Media Managers, Campaign Managers, and Channel Strategists. The ideal candidate will be customer-obsessed, understanding audience consumption habits and the best ways to reach them, while managing investments and delivering significant impact across campaigns. The Paid Media Launch Manager will influence upstream tactical planning, including platform mix, ad product utilization, and creative best practices, all anchored in a deep understanding of the latest product features. You will also identify testing opportunities and provide subject matter expertise to advance automation, ad tech, or optimization techniques that maximize business impact. Your success will be measured through expanded marketing throughput, increased effectiveness of attributed media performance metrics, and year-over-year efficiency improvements. Additionally, you will collaborate with Prime Video marketing and media team members on high-impact campaigns, ensuring that campaign objectives are met through effective agency management and optimization opportunities. This role requires a growth mindset, strong project management skills, and a passion for transforming marketing performance data into actionable insights. You will be responsible for developing and maintaining playbooks to keep marketing stakeholders informed of the latest best practices, while also managing external partner relationships with social platforms and digital marketing agencies. Ultimately, you will be challenged to push boundaries, propose and execute new ideas, and ensure best practices for Prime Video growth.

Responsibilities

  • Own goals and performance metrics for digital marketing campaigns; monitoring regularly to understand effectiveness and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Serve as the YouTube, TikTok, Meta, Pinterest, Snapchat, and Reddit day-to-day lead, properly communicating and evangelizing processes, platform execution, customer engagement techniques, and industry-related topics.
  • Own day-to-day relationships with agency teams and decision-makers across the US Paid Media Team, driving stakeholders to execute effective media plans that align with the overall marketing strategy.
  • Manage and report on budgets, goal pacing, overall performance, digital marketing trends, and test & learn frameworks, working with Prime Video marketing managers to evaluate opportunities to inform product roadmaps.
  • Provide consultation on platform offerings to help inform product team and roadmaps.
  • Facilitate and communicate comprehensive analysis and insights of campaigns and experiments, making actionable recommendations to senior leadership and agencies executing campaigns.
  • Coordinate with marketers in the US and globally to drive execution of marketing experiments and campaign/channel holdouts.
  • Support annual ad tech priority planning and scoping of top paid social customer use cases to support with engineering resources.
  • Consult on best practices for campaign launch and dive deep with select ad tech partners on behalf of paid social leads globally.
  • Manage external partner relationships with social platforms and Prime Video digital marketing agencies, identifying new biddable media opportunities for testing.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of professional non-internship marketing experience.
  • Experience managing and measuring marketing performance in various channels.
  • Experience using data and metrics to drive improvements.
  • 3+ years of paid media experience.
  • Experience building and optimizing marketing campaigns.
  • Experience working within cross-functional marketing and creative teams.
  • Experience effectively communicating information in spoken and written form.

  • Experience in entertainment/media industries.
  • Outstanding analytical and quantitative skills and strong business acumen.
  • Understanding of marketing measurement methodologies (econometric modeling, brand uplift studies, etc.), causal inference, and experiment design and analysis.
  • Depth of knowledge within advertising tech solutions including Google CM360.
  • Strong leadership and communication (written and verbal) skills with multiple stakeholders including senior leadership.
  • Understanding of earned media strategies including SEO and content marketing.
