About the position

PATTERN is looking for a passionate and motivated individual to join our team as the Paid Media Manager. This role will be responsible for developing and executing comprehensive strategies across the funnel, managing paid media campaigns across various channels, and achieving key performance metrics such as Return on Ad Spend (ROAS) and/or Customer Acquisition Cost (CAC). Additionally, this person will direct and lead the media agencies and collaborate with internal Brand Marketing, Digital and Creative to ensure alignment with business goals and objectives. The Paid Media Manager will possess excellent leadership, analytical, and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and will be passionate about driving results and thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. This role reports to the CMO and requires in-office collaboration 2 days per week in West Hollywood, CA.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the development and execution of comprehensive growth strategies, including customer acquisition, retention, and conversion optimization.
  • Oversee all aspects of paid media campaigns across various channels, such as Google Ads, Meta Ads, TikTok Ads, Amazon Ads, Pinterest Ads, CTV (Connected TV), YouTube Ads/YouTube TV, and Affiliate; and explore and implement new and emerging channels to reach target audiences effectively.
  • Achieve ROAS and CAC Targets: Help develop and drive efforts to achieve targeted Return on Ad Spend (ROAS) and Customer Acquisition Cost (CAC) to ensure the profitability of the business.
  • Manage relationships with paid media agencies, including selection, onboarding, and ongoing collaboration.
  • Provide clear direction and guidance to agencies to ensure alignment with business goals and objectives.
  • Monitor agency performance and provide feedback as needed to drive continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate on retail marketing efforts and help to plan effective media programs tied to retail partners.
  • Utilize data analytics tools, in partnership with internal Insights team, to track campaign performance across different channels and generate actionable insights.
  • Prepare regular reports to communicate performance metrics and key findings to senior leadership.
  • Collaborate closely with internal teams such as content, social, influencer, retail marketing, product development, digital, creative and sales to guide strategies and execute programs.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in e-commerce, paid media, and digital marketing.

Requirements

  • Degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in digital marketing, with a focus on paid media and growth.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing and optimizing paid media campaigns across multiple platforms, such as Google Ads, Meta Ads, TikTok Ads, Pinterest Ads, CTV, Direct Mail, Podcasts, and other emerging channels.
  • Experience in managing relationships with paid media agencies and driving successful collaborations.
  • Deep understanding of e-commerce platforms, marketplaces, and digital advertising technologies.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data, draw insights, and make data-driven decisions.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and project management skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and effectively prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.
  • Experience working with creative and content to help advise on media asset direction.
