About the position

Modifly is seeking a creative and analytical full-time Paid Media Manager, Search to join our team in San Diego, CA. This role focuses on executing campaign strategies, optimizing search funnels, and managing client budgets while providing in-depth account analysis and reporting. The Paid Media Manager will work closely with the Modifly account team to develop strategic action plans aimed at achieving client search objectives, collaborating with the creative team to enhance ad content.

Responsibilities

  • Manage search campaigns A-Z, including building, optimizing, and adjusting search campaigns across platforms like Google Ads to ensure ROI meets client goals.
  • Analyze performance data and provide intelligent analysis and actionable insights based on search performance data to refine strategies and improve results.
  • Determine client benchmarking by developing and implementing optimizations to meet client KPI's in the quickest time possible through paid search channels.
  • Improve and enhance existing search and social media processes, innovating new strategies and techniques for better performance.
  • Manage and execute on campaigns across multiple channels such as the Google ad network, Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest, and others (e-commerce & B2C).
  • Own search strategy and execution for each client, aiming to hit or surpass their goals.
  • Communicate effectively with your team and clients, staying accountable, highlighting wins and losses.
  • Oversee client budgets for search campaigns, advising on adjustments based on performance and overall return.
  • Craft search strategies tailored to client goals and proactively troubleshoot dips in performance.
  • Apply knowledge of the marketing funnel to understand where search plays a critical role.
  • Build, nurture and maintain strong relationships with multiple clients, ensuring their needs are met.
  • Identify opportunities for expanding search services and conducting strategic audits to enhance client campaign performance.
  • Collaborate with the creative team to brainstorm and develop search ad content that aligns with client needs.
  • Translate search advertising concepts and analytics into actionable, tactical, and strategic plans for campaign optimization.
  • Develop growth of junior team members through delegation, training, and coaching.
  • Develop client communication and account strategies for search campaigns, including launch plans, ongoing management, and growth/scaling strategy.
  • Navigate attribution within partner platforms including Triplewhale and GA-4, to assess campaign performance accurately.

Requirements

  • 3-5+ years of experience in media buying, with a focus on paid search.
  • Understanding and appreciation for an entrepreneurial environment and the resilience required to succeed.
  • Ability to craft search strategies based on client goals and troubleshoot performance issues effectively.
  • Strong communication skills with a focus on accountability and transparency.
  • Proven ability to build and sustain rapport with multiple clients.
  • High level of comfort with search advertising platforms and analytical tools.
  • Understanding of the basic marketing funnel and the role of search within it.
  • High level of self-accountability to ensure work is done well and team goals are met.
  • Operate independently in Google Ads and analytics platforms to optimize search campaign performance.
