About the position

The Paid Media Marketing Manager at Travel + Leisure Co. is responsible for developing, implementing, and optimizing paid media strategies across various digital channels to support the Travel Solutions business. This role involves strategic planning, campaign management, media analysis, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to achieve business KPIs and enhance the overall marketing efforts.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute comprehensive paid media strategies to meet business KPIs across channels including Google Ads, Meta, Microsoft, Reddit, and more.
  • Conduct market research and competitor analysis to inform and refine paid media strategies, including the recommendation of new opportunities.
  • Evaluate digital media opportunities from business partners and oversee the execution of the opportunities.
  • Manage the paid media budget and provide quarterly media plans, including the breakout of spend per channel/campaign.
  • Build, launch, and oversee the day-to-day of paid media campaigns, ensuring alignment with overall marketing goals and budget.
  • Monitor and optimize campaign performance, including bid strategies, messaging, targeting, and creative assets, against established KPIs.
  • Work with communications and creative teams to ensure creative assets meet placement best practices and site specs/requirements.
  • Perform routine account audits, ensuring programs maintain executional excellence.
  • Stay informed of industry regulations and compliance guidelines, ensuring all media buying activities adhere to legal and ethical standards.
  • Track, measure, and report on paid media performance to the business, uncovering performance trends and developing actionable insights.
  • Continuously monitor digital campaign performance results to determine what is working and what can be improved.
  • Work collaboratively with the digital marketing team to establish the most effective targeting and personalization strategies.
  • Present key insights and findings that effectively highlight campaign results and recommendations for future campaign success.
  • Create strong cross functional relationships with peers in other business units to foster shared work learning and leverage leading practices.
  • Provide strong internal client service (e.g. - quality, responsiveness, and attention to detail).
  • Learn new platforms like Simon Data to help create audiences for segmentation in partnership with the digital marketing team.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, Business, Hospitality or related field required.
  • Google Ads Certification heavily preferred.
  • Expert knowledge and experience working in Google Ads, Bing Ads, and Meta Ads Manager.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Microsoft PowerPoint, and Google Analytics.
  • Experience building media plans and managing paid media budgets, required.
  • Experience working hands-on in platform, required.
  • Self-motivated and able to achieve goals with minimal supervision. Ability to take initiative, plan, manage and deliver projects on time, required.
  • Knowledge of paid search and paid social, required. Knowledge of SEO, a plus.
  • Experience in the travel industry, a plus.
  • Excellent and proven critical thinking skills to quickly evaluate issues, troubleshoot, and prioritize.
  • Ability to work proficiently and in a fast-paced environment with a variety of challenges.
  • Excellent communicator able to work well with remote partners as well as face to face.
  • Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and highly analytical.
  • Confident presence and ability to present to various levels of leadership.
  • A desire to test and learn, as well as innovate.
  • Excellent ability to work effectively with various internal and external constituencies to implement projects.
  • 5-7 years of experience of paid media planning and buying, digital ad ops or trafficking, analytics, or digital campaign management.
  • Experience working for a digital marketing agency or managing paid media in-house.
  • Experience in multiple media channels, such as paid search, programmatic, display, mobile, social media, video, and emerging platforms.
  • Understanding of rich media, dynamic creative, CTV/OTT, mobile and video ads units.
  • Experience in creating paid media campaigns from scratch (researching, budgeting, strategy, optimization, maintenance, and reporting).
  • Experience creating reports and deriving, as well as communicating results and insights.
