About the position

The Media Manager is a crucial role within a growing ad agency, responsible for leading the strategy, creation, and activation of paid media campaigns across various channels. This position requires a strong understanding of both digital and traditional media, with a focus on multicultural marketing, particularly for Asian American audiences. The Media Manager will oversee the development and execution of media plans, ensuring alignment with client objectives and budgets while collaborating with various departments to deliver innovative media strategies.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the strategy, creation, and activation of paid media campaigns across all channels.
  • Develop, negotiate, implement, track, and optimize online media buys including Facebook, TikTok, programmatic, linear TV, and direct publishers.
  • Oversee media planners to ensure effective design and execution of media plans that meet client KPIs within budget.
  • Collaborate with the media buying team to ensure seamless agency planning and buying processes.
  • Manage and maintain media flowcharts with accurate data and up-to-date media plans.
  • Oversee pacing sheets for budget and delivery/spend management.
  • Maintain campaign timelines related to media deliverables.
  • Work collaboratively across departments to develop strategic designs for innovative media plans.

Requirements

  • A four-year college degree or equivalent in a relevant field.
  • 3+ years of media planning experience within an ad agency on corporate clients.
  • Strong analytical skills and mathematical abilities with attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated presentation and writing skills.
  • Experience working with automobile clients is highly desirable.
  • Experience with Asian American marketing (in language).
  • Full-service agency experience preferred, but not required.
  • Technical proficiency with media systems (DV360, GWI, MRI, Nielsen (NMI), Prisma).
  • Proficiency in MS Office: Internet Explorer, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

  • Experience in multicultural marketing strategies.
  • Familiarity with innovative digital media planning techniques.
