About the position

The Manager of Paid Social Marketing is a pivotal role responsible for overseeing all aspects of paid social media campaigns. This includes the development of strategies, execution, management, and optimization of campaigns to ensure they generate profitable leads. The position requires daily management of bids, spend, and performance metrics, including lead volumes, revenue, and margins, to meet performance goals aligned with the company's objectives. The manager will analyze data to make informed decisions and build automated processes around bids, ads, and landing page optimization. A deep understanding of data structures and how data integrates between internal and external systems is essential. The role involves ownership of the structure, tactical direction, optimization, spend, and P&L of specific campaigns within the online lead aggregation space. The manager will be expected to communicate performance metrics for respective products during weekly calls, monthly meetings, and quarterly business reviews. Ongoing account optimization is a key responsibility, which includes making structural and creative improvements. The manager will also report on and share innovative test ideas and results with the marketing and product teams. Collaboration with the creative team is crucial to brainstorm new concepts based on platform knowledge and to present creative learnings from campaigns.

Responsibilities

  • Manage all aspects of paid social media campaigns including strategy, execution, and optimization.
  • Daily management of bids, spend, and performance metrics to meet performance goals.
  • Analyze data to make informed decisions and build automated processes around bids, ads, and landing page optimization.
  • Own the structure, tactical direction, optimization, spend, and P&L of specific campaigns.
  • Communicate performance metrics during weekly calls, monthly meetings, and quarterly business reviews.
  • Optimize accounts continuously, including structural and creative improvements.
  • Report on innovative test ideas and results within marketing and product teams.
  • Collaborate with the creative team to brainstorm new concepts and present learnings from campaigns.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
  • 3-5 years of experience managing and scaling paid social campaigns.
  • Experience in direct-response advertising is mandatory; knowledge of advertising for financial services is preferred.
  • Experience running target-ROAS campaigns on Meta and TikTok.
  • Additional platform knowledge of LinkedIn, Pinterest, and/or Reddit is a bonus.
  • Ability to adjust to and anticipate changes in the company's strategic focus and market conditions.
  • Proven track record of testing creative strategies.
  • Strong analytical, qualitative, communication, and critical thinking skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience working with financial services clients.
  • Proven track record of winning creative strategies for video ads.
  • Extensive knowledge of pixel/event tagging and conversions API implementation.
  • Experience working with influencers and user-generated content.
