About the position

The Paid Social Specialist at Gray Digital Media is responsible for managing online advertising campaigns across major social media platforms such as YouTube, TikTok, and others. This remote position focuses on creating, monitoring, and optimizing paid social campaigns aimed at brand awareness and lead generation. The role also involves serving as a strategic advisor to internal teams and clients, ensuring that campaign objectives are met through effective strategies and execution.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in maximizing campaign exposure to a target audience.
  • Create compelling ads within social platform specifications, continuously testing creative appeals, messaging, and brand positioning.
  • Pull platform reporting to monitor campaign pacing and performance across platforms.
  • Optimize campaigns to meet challenging market conditions and exceed campaign objectives as directed by clients and leadership.
  • Execute testing strategies across all major campaign assets or controls for success.
  • Understand client goals and maximize measures of success through tactical strategies and technologies.
  • Generate and assemble internal reports, including front-end data and back-end accountability.
  • Track and monitor reporting of campaign results on a daily, weekly, quarterly, and yearly basis, including pacing and business reviews.
  • Pay careful attention to salient metrics and price points.
  • Complete activities according to best practices, standard operating procedures, and team member guidance.
  • Monitor industry news, online marketing trends, industry tools, and internal cross-team learnings.
  • Collaborate and partner with internal teams, social platform partners, and client teams.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience with at least 1-2 years of experience working in paid social.
  • Hands-on experience in managing monthly campaign budgets from $5k to $50k+.
  • Familiarity with self-serve platforms, API technology, and in-platform reporting tools such as Meta Business Manager, Google Analytics, Pinterest Analytics, Snap Business Manager, TikTok Business Center.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills, with the ability to use logic and methods to solve difficult problems.
  • Ability to understand client goals and translate them into media strategy using online technologies.
  • Effective communication skills to convey processes and tactics to internal team members.
  • Extremely detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple data points and analyses for a volume of campaigns.
