About the position
This position is for a full-time Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) specializing in outpatient Pain Management at a state-of-the-art Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation practice. The role involves working at two sites, North Bergen and Teaneck, focusing on pain treatments and procedures, including various types of injections. The practice promotes a cohesive and positive team culture, offering a supportive environment for professional growth.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients with chronic or acute pain conditions to determine appropriate treatment plans.
- Develop and implement personalized pain management strategies, which may include medications, therapies, and interventional procedures such as injections.
- Perform various types of injections (e.g., epidural injections, nerve blocks, trigger point injections) to alleviate pain and improve functionality.
- Educate patients and their families on pain management techniques, medication usage, potential side effects, and lifestyle modifications to enhance treatment outcomes and quality of life.
Requirements
