About the position

The Paint Line Production Associate is responsible for all aspects of painting metal products, including setup, operation, inspection, and material handling. This full-time position operates on a night shift schedule, requiring adherence to safety protocols and quality standards while managing paint line equipment and processes.

Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor paint line equipment while maintaining high quality standards.
• Complete all tasks as assigned by CCL department leadership.
• Read, understand, and follow the steps outlined in SOPs for each task being performed.
• Take prompt corrective action to eliminate safety hazards and minimize equipment downtime.
• Complete required documentation including production records and quality checks accurately.
• Perform established quality checks on material at required intervals.
• Properly manage all wastes generated, including segregation of recyclable materials.
• Operate waste water neutralization system and maintain waste water discharges within acceptable ranges.
• Accurately record production information used to prepare EPA reports.
• Prepare waste material for shipment offsite, including inspection and labeling of containers.
• Perform required inspections of hazardous waste accumulation areas.
• Mix and prepare paint materials according to specifications.
• Clean and maintain paint booth, spray equipment, and work area.
• Identify and report any equipment malfunctions or quality issues.
• Collaborate with team members to meet production goals and schedules.
• Assist in inventory management of paint and supplies.

Requirements

• 2 years of machine operator experience required.
• Forklift experience required.
• Must be able to read, write and perform basic math skills as job duties require.
• Must possess common sense, positive attitude, and demonstrate excellent attendance.
• Must be quality and safety conscious, a team player.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds on a continual basis above shoulder height and below the waist.
• Must have good verbal and written communication skills.
