About the position
The Painter (Powder) position at MEC involves using various painting tools and techniques to coat surfaces, parts, and products according to customer specifications. The role requires operating painting machines, performing maintenance on powder systems, and ensuring quality standards are met while maintaining a clean work environment.
Responsibilities
- Set up and operate machines that paint or coat products.
- Paint components according to customer specifications.
- Load and move materials to the work area.
- Perform daily, weekly, and preventative maintenance on the powder system, per work instructions.
- Adjust and operate the powder equipment to meet production and quality standards.
- Troubleshoot the powder system and quality problems.
- Perform inventory transactions, per work instructions.
- Maintain a clean work area and work as a team member of the paint department.
- May perform additional duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Manufacturing experience preferred but not required.
- Ability to wear a respirator.
- Ability to stand for 8-9 hours each day.
- Ability to understand work orders and follow instructions.
- Ability to understand and follow MEC safety policies and procedures.
- Ability to bend, stand, and lift up to 50 lbs. on a regular basis.
