About the position
The Painter position at the Doubletree by Hilton Norfolk Airport Hotel involves painting, finishing, and maintaining the interior and exterior surfaces of the hotel. The role requires preparation of surfaces for painting and finishing using various application methods and materials. The ideal candidate must be reliable, courteous, and familiar with drywall preparation and maintenance, contributing to a team-oriented environment.
Responsibilities
- Prepare, prime, sand, seal, patch, and paint surfaces.
- Tape, repair, and apply texturing on a variety of surfaces.
- Operate, clean, and maintain painting equipment (i.e. brush, roll, sprayer, pumps, etc.).
- Use ladders safely as necessary for painting work.
- Understand OSHA standards and comply with hotel safety policies.
Requirements
- Valid Non-CDL Class C license.
- Valid OSHA 30 certification.
- 1 year of experience in painting (preferred).
- Familiarity with drywall preparation and maintenance.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience in industrial painting (1 year preferred).
- Experience in painting/staining (1 year preferred).
- Experience in professional painting (1 year preferred).
