About the position

We are seeking a skilled Painter to join our team, responsible for preparing surfaces, applying paint, and ensuring high-quality finishes on various residential and commercial projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction painting, proficiency in various painting techniques, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively with other tradespeople.

Responsibilities

• Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, and caulking as necessary.
• Apply paint, stain, or other finishes using brushes, rollers, or spray equipment.
• Read and interpret schematics and blueprints to determine the appropriate materials and techniques for each job.
• Perform construction painting tasks on residential and commercial projects.
• Collaborate with carpenters and other tradespeople to ensure seamless project execution.
• Restore surfaces by repairing stucco, masonry, or drywall as needed.
• Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition, ensuring safety standards are met.
• Utilize basic math skills to calculate material requirements and project dimensions accurately.

Requirements

• Proven experience in construction painting or related fields is preferred.
• Familiarity with caulking techniques and the use of hand tools is essential.
• Experience with remodeling projects is a plus, including knowledge of stucco application and masonry work.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to deliver high-quality results consistently.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
