About the position

The role involves Painting and Blasting of equipment and assisting in the assembly of various pieces of equipment. The position requires maintaining a clean and organized work environment, receiving and communicating essential information, and coordinating actions within the team. The individual will also be responsible for maintaining shop equipment to ensure a safe working environment, effectively managing an area in the shop, and collaborating well with others.

Responsibilities

• Keep a clean and organized work environment.
• Receive and communicate essential information, coordinate actions, obtain input, review open issues and action items, and contribute information to the team.
• Maintain shop equipment as needed for a safe working environment.
• Painting and Blasting of Equipment and machine products.
• Effectively manage an area in the shop and work well with others.

Requirements

• Able to follow instructions and the ability to be trained.
• A sense of urgency and self-motivation.
• Able to participate in a group planning environment.
• Able to perform basic tasks including assisting with the assembly shop, measuring, use of basic shop tools.
• Able to perform basic tasks including measuring, milling, and cutting with shop tools.
• Ability to read blueprints and recognize symbols and specifications.
• Both verbal and written communication skills.
• Knowledge of mechanical equipment and systems.
• Willing to work in the cold, dusty, and uncomfortable conditions.
• Able to bend, stoop, kneel, lift, walk and perform repetitious movement.
• Able to lift 30-40lbs, and not to exceed 50lbs.
