About the position

The Repair Operator position at CHEP involves working in a fast-paced warehouse environment, focusing on the repair and assembly of pallets using pneumatic tools. This role is critical to the supply chain operations, ensuring that pallets are efficiently repaired and ready for use. The position requires physical strength and endurance, as operators will be lifting heavy pallets and standing for extended periods. Safety is a top priority, and adherence to safety procedures is essential.

Responsibilities

• Use a pneumatic nail gun to repair or assemble pallets.
• Place pallets on the repair table, remove defective boards, and replace them with new boards.
• Nail replaced boards into place to ensure pallet integrity.
• Troubleshoot jams and perform basic maintenance on the saw.
• Stand for long periods while performing repair tasks.
• Repeatedly lift pallets weighing 50-75 lbs.

Requirements

• Physical strength and endurance to handle heavy lifting.
• Good hand-eye coordination and concentration on tasks.
• Ability to understand and communicate information effectively.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

Nice-to-haves

• 2+ years of previous experience working in an industrial, fast-moving setting with industrial machinery.
