About the position
This entry-level position at US Foods involves wrapping outbound orders in designated loading zones to ensure safe and organized delivery for drivers. The role includes building pallets according to preferred methods, maintaining a clean work area, and assisting loaders with unloading trailers. Responsibilities
- Wrap outbound orders in designated loading zones according to company procedures and standards.
- Build pallets according to preferred methods and ensure they are wrapped properly to avoid damage during transport.
- Notify a supervisor of any issues encountered during the wrapping process.
- Complete work in a productive and timely manner, keeping pallets wrapped according to dispatch times.
- Verify that header labels are correctly placed for easy location by loaders.
- Maintain a clean work area free of debris at all times.
- Assist loaders by unloading trailers and managing any debris left in the trailer.
- Ensure Robo wrappers are clean and operational, and maintain equipment according to safety standards.
- Follow all safety work practices and maintain a clean and orderly dock area.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED preferred.
- A minimum of one-year warehouse experience preferred.
- Ability to operate a pallet jack.
- Good attention to detail and ability to read batch labels.
- Basic mathematical skills (add, subtract, multiply, divide).
- Team-oriented with good interpersonal skills.
