About the position

Top Tier, LLC is seeking a Palletizer Sales Engineer to join our team in Chicago, IL. As a leading manufacturer of palletizing systems in North America, we pride ourselves on delivering the safest and most compact solutions in the industry. The Palletizer Sales Engineer will play a crucial role in identifying and developing new customers, evaluating and qualifying new projects, and working closely with clients to create customized solutions that meet their specific needs. This position requires a proactive approach to sales, as you will be responsible for collecting necessary product and project information, presenting proposals to key business partners, and negotiating contracts to ensure successful outcomes. In this role, you will set and achieve sales goals while collaborating with a team of professionals dedicated to providing exceptional service and innovative solutions. The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical background, particularly in mechanical or electrical engineering, and have experience in technical sales or marketing. Familiarity with palletizing and robotics is a plus, as is the ability to communicate complex technical information to non-technical stakeholders. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, CRM systems, and CAD software will be essential for success in this position. The Palletizer Sales Engineer will also be expected to function productively in a team-oriented environment, manage multiple priorities, and follow detailed instructions. Strong problem-solving and analytical skills are crucial, as is the ability to maintain excellent communication and documentation standards. This is a full-time position with a competitive salary starting at $95,000 per year, and the opportunity for significant growth within the company as we expand our market share in North America.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field (Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics) preferred
  • Experience in technical sales/marketing
  • Palletizing and/or Robotics experience is a plus
  • Ability to relate technical information to non-technical people
  • Microsoft Office skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook) essential
  • CRM skills essential, Salesforce experience a plus
  • CAD skills (AutoDesk Inventor) a plus
  • Familiarity with SAP a plus
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Able to function productively and professionally in a team-oriented environment
  • Able to multitask, manage multiple priorities, and follow detailed instructions
  • Excellent language spelling and grammar

Nice-to-haves

  • Technical sales experience (2 years preferred)
  • Applications engineering experience (3 years required)
  • Willingness to travel (75% preferred)
