About the position

Valley Health/Winchester Medical Center is seeking a Board-eligible/Board-certified Palliative Care physician to join an established and growing team focused on inpatient medicine. This hospital-employed position is located at a thriving 495-bed regional medical center in the scenic Shenandoah Valley of Virginia. The role emphasizes collaboration within a multidisciplinary environment and aims to enhance the quality of palliative care services offered.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary palliative care team and other medical specialists.
• Develop and enhance specialty palliative care services within the hospital.
• Educate other care providers on evidence-based management and communication regarding advanced illness and end-of-life care.

Requirements

• Board-eligible or Board-certified in Palliative Care.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Experience in palliative care preferred.
