About the position

The Palo Alto Engineer position is focused on the management, design, implementation, and deployment of Palo Alto networks. The role requires a strong background in network security engineering, particularly with Palo Alto firewalls, and involves troubleshooting and optimizing network performance.

Responsibilities

• Manage and implement Palo Alto network solutions.
• Design and deploy Palo Alto firewall configurations.
• Conduct dynamic routing configuration and troubleshooting.
• Perform packet-level review and analysis for troubleshooting and design purposes.
• Design firewall rules using NAT.
• Review firewall logs and flows using observability platforms.
• Create observability dashboards for network monitoring.
• Implement Intrusion Detection & Prevention systems.

Requirements

• 6-9 years of experience in network security engineering.
• Hands-on experience with Palo Alto firewall engineering for at least 3 years.
• Palo Alto certification is required.
• Experience in dynamic routing configuration and troubleshooting.
• Strong skills in packet-level review and analysis.
• Proficiency in rule design using NAT.
• Experience with firewall log and flow reviews.
• Familiarity with observability platforms and dashboard creation is a plus.
• Knowledge of Python or shell scripting is a plus.
