About the position

Responsibilities
- Perform diversified assembly and erection operations for water pumping stations and component sub-assemblies.
- Skilled fittings of parts, sub-assemblies, and related units.
- Align, adjust, and perform required secondary machining.
- Assign work, instruct, and check work for lower classification assemblers and helpers.
- Work from complicated drawings and specifications.
- Use a variety of precision measuring instruments and gauging devices.
- Inspect and test final assemblies.
- Perform wiring and assembly operations on controls for water pumping stations.
- Plan and lay out work with variations in standard procedures.
- Install and connect wiring according to specifications.
- Instruct, assign, and check work of lower classification assemblers and helpers.
- Assist with or perform testing operations on units and completed assemblies.
Requirements
- Experience in mechanical assembly and electrical wiring.
- Knowledge of design and basic mechanical principles.
- Ability to read and interpret complex drawings and specifications.
- Experience with precision measuring instruments and gauging devices.
- Skill in aligning, adjusting, and machining components.
