About the position

The Department of Student Media at Florida International University (FIU) is seeking a student staff videographer to contribute to PantherNOW. This role involves capturing and editing video content, ensuring high-quality production standards, and providing accurate captions. The position is designed for current FIU students who are looking to gain practical experience in video production while supporting the university's media initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Capture video content for PantherNOW.
• Edit videos to ensure high quality and clarity.
• Write accurate and engaging captions for video content.

Requirements

• Currently enrolled as a student at FIU with a minimum of six (6) credits as an Undergraduate or three (3) credits as a Graduate student during Fall and Spring semesters.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Story-telling and question-giving skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Proficient in video capturing and editing.
• Organizational and time management skills.
• Knowledgeable in Microsoft Word, Google Docs/Drive, and other relevant programs.
