About the position

The Department of Student Media at Florida International University is seeking a temporary student staff videographer to create and edit video content for PantherNOW. This role involves collaborating with a team to produce high-quality videos that are well-edited and accompanied by accurate captions, while also ensuring effective communication and storytelling.

Responsibilities

• Capture video content for PantherNOW.
• Edit videos to ensure high quality and clarity.
• Write accurate and engaging captions for videos.

Requirements

• Currently enrolled as a student at FIU with a minimum of six credits as an undergraduate or three credits as a graduate student during the Fall and Spring semesters.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Storytelling and questioning skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Proficient in video capturing and editing.
• Organizational and time management skills.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Word, Google Docs/Drive, and other relevant programs.
