About the position

The Operations Data Analyst III position at Medical Mutual of Ohio involves analyzing operations data to support business decisions and identify areas for improvement. This role allows for remote work within a 50-mile radius of the Toledo office and requires intermediate to advanced data analysis skills. The analyst will work under limited supervision, participate in functional teams, and present findings to department leadership.

Responsibilities

  • Collects, synthesizes, and analyzes operations data from various sources to answer client questions and measure the effectiveness of business decisions.
  • Builds and maintains reports for internal teams.
  • Creates visualizations and/or presentations to share results with various audiences including colleagues and department leadership.
  • Participates on functional teams to complete projects.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in statistics, applied mathematics, data analysis, or related field.
  • Master's degree preferred.
  • 3 years of data/statistical analysis experience, preferably in health insurance or other financial services.
  • Intermediate to advanced programming skills in SQL and SAS.
  • Proficiency in visualization tools such as Power BI and Tableau.
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills.
  • Ability to define business requirements and communicate effectively with department leadership.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in health insurance or financial services industry.
  • Familiarity with advanced data analysis techniques.
