About the position

The Paraeducator Autism position at Fresno Unified School District involves assisting in providing instruction to students with special needs, particularly those on the autism spectrum. Responsibilities

• Assist in providing instruction to individual or small groups of students with special needs.
• Support the educational and behavioral needs of students with Autism under the guidance of certificated personnel.
• Participate in training on specific behavioral and educational interventions for autism.
• Engage in monthly workshops as identified by FUSD staff.

Requirements

• Graduation from high school or equivalent.
• Completed 48 college units or NCLB compliance equivalent.
• Experience working with school-age children, preferably with autistic children in a classroom environment.
• Completion of Paraprofessional Competency Certification in Autism through Fresno Unified School District.

Nice-to-haves
