The Paraeducator-ELOP (Part-time) position at Lincrest Elementary is designed to support students in the Expanded Learning Opportunities Programs, which include before and after school programs. Paraeducators will work closely with students either individually or in small groups, providing tutoring and reinforcing lessons taught by the classroom teacher. The work schedule for this position is part-time, requiring 3.5 hours of work each day from 2:30 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., totaling 180 days per year. The salary for this role ranges from $18.75 to $22.81 per hour, based on experience and placement on the salary scale. Applicants must meet specific educational requirements, including a high school diploma or equivalent, and must have completed 48 college units or possess an Associate or Bachelor's degree. Alternatively, candidates can qualify by achieving a passing score on the Paraprofessional Exam administered by the Sutter County Superintendent of Schools. In addition to educational qualifications, candidates should have experience leading K-8 students in various subjects, including Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM), as well as English Language Arts and recreational activities.
