About the position

The Paraeducator I for Transitional Kindergarten at Foothill Elementary will work under the supervision of the Principal, providing essential support to the Transition Kindergarten and Kindergarten Teacher. This role is crucial in facilitating various activities that positively impact students' learning experiences.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Transition Kindergarten and Kindergarten Teacher in daily classroom activities.
• Support students in their learning and development.
• Help maintain a safe and organized classroom environment.
• Participate in planning and implementing educational activities.
• Provide individualized support to students as needed.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Sufficient training and experience to demonstrate the knowledge and abilities listed in the job description.
• Successful passage of the District Proficiency exam in Reading, Writing, and Math, unless exempted by holding 48 semester units or an Associate's Degree or higher.
