As a Paralegal Assistant at PeopleReady, you will play a crucial role in providing administrative support to the legal team. This position involves developing and refining legal team processes while managing a variety of legal duties that are essential for the smooth operation of the department. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills, a keen attention to detail, and the ability to handle confidential information with the utmost discretion. You will be expected to draft clear, comprehensive, and legally accurate documents and communications, ensuring that all legal documentation meets the required standards. In addition to drafting documents, you will be responsible for collecting and managing data related to membership, safety mishap reports, and conclusions. This includes managing and updating insurance coverage details, reporting potential liability claims, and gathering necessary documentation to support these claims. You will also conduct legal research using tools such as Westlaw, prepare applications, and handle aircraft title searches, which are critical tasks in the legal field. Your role will also involve managing calendars, scheduling appointments, and organizing travel arrangements for the legal team. You will be tasked with managing project tasking for the General Counsel (GC) and maintaining a daily journal of events to ensure that all activities are documented accurately. Additionally, you will review and route incoming materials, prepare outgoing mail, and file correspondence and records to maintain an organized legal department. Financial responsibilities will include processing payroll figures, managing requisitions and purchase orders, and preparing and managing the legal department's budget and financial planning. You will also maintain and manage the National Legal Officers College and GC websites, ensuring that all information is current and accessible. Collaboration is key in this role, as you will work effectively with attorneys, administration, staff, volunteers, and governmental agencies to achieve the department's goals.
