About The Position
We are looking for a Paralegal Assistant to join our team and provide essential administrative support to our legal team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our legal processes by performing a variety of tasks that are vital to the management of personal injury cases. This position requires a detail-oriented individual who can handle multiple responsibilities efficiently and effectively. The Paralegal Assistant will be responsible for conducting research, preparing legal documents, maintaining case files, and providing general administrative support to the legal staff. The ideal candidate will possess excellent organizational skills, the ability to multitask and prioritize tasks, and a strong attention to detail, which are essential for success in this role. In this position, you will be expected to process and input new client matters and documentation into the Firm's case management system. You will prepare routine engagement letters and manage their distribution, ensuring that all communications are handled promptly and professionally. Additionally, you will be responsible for requesting, following up, and obtaining medical records and bills related to client treatment, which is a critical aspect of personal injury law. You will also verify, confirm, and document account balances with medical personnel to ensure accuracy in our records. Maintaining both hard-copy and electronic files is another key responsibility, and you will need to ensure that all files are accurate and complete. This includes copying, scanning, and organizing case documentation for paralegal files. You will also perform various clerical and administrative tasks such as word processing, filing, copying, and scanning, ensuring that all tasks are completed accurately and in a timely manner.
