About the position
The Vietnamese Speaking Paralegal position at Buckley & Associates, PS, Inc. is a full-time role focused on supporting the legal team in personal injury law. The ideal candidate will be bilingual in Vietnamese and possess strong communication skills, enabling effective interaction with clients and the community. This role involves conducting client interviews, managing case documentation, and facilitating communication between clients and attorneys.
Responsibilities
- Conduct interviews with Potential New Clients (PNC) both in the office and off-site to assess their legal needs
- Build and expand our referral base and client base by networking with medical providers and the local community
- Serve as an interpreter when required to facilitate effective communication with clients
- Coordinate advertising efforts in Vietnamese media outlets to reach the target audience
- Assist clients in navigating their property damage claims
- Support attorneys and staff in processing clients' injury claims and lawsuits
- Maintain regular communication with clients to provide updates and keep them informed about the progress of their cases
- Ensure the accuracy of the active cases list and referral database
- Initiate claims with insurance companies on behalf of clients
- Handle incoming calls and emails from prospective and current clients
- Collect necessary signatures for releases and deliver settlement checks promptly
Requirements
- Fluency in Vietnamese is a must
- At least 3 years of experience in plaintiff personal injury law
- Highly organized
- Excellent communication and computer skills (MS Office)
- Attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple cases without close supervision
- Own a vehicle and insurance coverage
