About the position

The Litigation Paralegal at Slingshot will support attorneys throughout the litigation process by preparing and organizing necessary documentation. This role is essential for ensuring that all legal procedures are followed efficiently, requiring strong research skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist attorneys in preparing for trials, hearings, and meetings by organizing case files and evidence.
• Transcribe legal documents, correspondence, and meeting notes accurately.
• Manage data entry tasks related to case management systems and client information.
• Draft pleadings, motions, and other legal documents as required.
• File documents with courts and maintain accurate records of all filings.
• Maintain an organized calendar system for tracking deadlines and court dates to ensure timely submissions.

Requirements

• Paralegal experience of at least 1 year (preferred).
• Paralegal Certificate (preferred, but applicable job experience will be considered).
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for effective interaction with clients and attorneys.
• Experience in transcribing legal documents with high accuracy.
• Familiarity with business law, specifically in the area of business disputes, business formations, and trademarks.
