About the position

The Administrative Assistant II position within the Client Assistance Program (CAP) at the State Bar of Georgia is designed to provide essential administrative support to the Director and facilitate communication between the public and attorneys. The role involves handling inquiries, managing information, and assisting in the resolution of grievances, ensuring that the program effectively serves its purpose of aiding the public and maintaining professional standards among attorneys.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as support staff for the Director of the Client Assistance Program.
  • Take calls from the public regarding issues with attorneys and determine the appropriate assistance or referral.
  • Enter pertinent information from each call into the CAPlog database for tracking purposes.
  • Draft correspondence as directed by the Director.
  • Assist in the preparation for CAP Overview Committee meetings.

Requirements

  • College degree or equivalent in administrative work experience.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work well in a team environment.
  • Proficient in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and internet search engines.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to handle and prioritize a voluminous workload.
  • Working knowledge of the Georgia Rules of Professional Conduct or ability to learn.
  • Rudimentary understanding of various areas of law or ability to learn.
