About the position

Richie & Gueringer, P.C. is an AV Rated firm, celebrating its 29th year as a boutique commercial transaction and litigation law firm. We are seeking an experienced commercial litigation paralegal to join our team in Austin, Texas. This is a full-time position working in the office. The Commercial Litigation Paralegal will have a minimum of 3 years, ideally 5 years or more, of commercial civil litigation experience with a focus on commercial issues and trial experience. The role requires trial experience, including document production, discovery, E-filing, and E-service. The paralegal will assist in legal research, drafting, evaluating, revising, and/or developing legal documents, notices, and forms. Proficiency in Federal, State, Local, and Court applicable laws, rules, regulations, and guidelines is essential, along with a strong understanding of Texas court rules and procedures. Experience in transactional law, trademarks, and entity formation is also required, as well as experience with estate planning and drafting wills. The paralegal will be in charge of monitoring calendar activity and tracking deadlines, assisting with case management, and must possess superior attention to detail, problem-solving abilities, strong organizational and multi-tasking skills. The ability to work effectively with multiple projects and deadlines with minimal supervision is crucial. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, along with legal writing talent, are necessary for this position. Full proficiency in Microsoft Office 365, Adobe Acrobat Pro, ShareFile platform, and Dropbox is required. A Bachelor's degree in paralegal or legal studies from a regionally accredited college or university is preferred; NALA certification is highly preferred. Salary will be commensurate with experience.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in legal research, drafting, evaluating, revising, and developing legal documents, notices, and forms.
  • Manage document production, discovery, E-filing, and E-service for trial preparation.
  • Monitor calendar activity and track deadlines for ongoing cases.
  • Assist with case management and ensure compliance with court rules and procedures.
  • Provide support in transactional law, trademarks, and entity formation.
  • Draft wills and assist with estate planning as needed.
  • Communicate effectively with clients and other legal professionals.

Requirements
