About the position

The Paralegal Compliance Administrator at Elevate Cannabis is responsible for managing the submission of cannabis licensing applications, including renewals and change requests across various markets. This role involves overseeing documentation for ongoing construction projects related to licensing and compliance, tracking licensing schedules, and collaborating with the Chief Compliance Officer (CCO) and outside counsel on compliance matters. The position offers a hybrid work environment and requires strong organizational and communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure timely and accurate submission of cannabis license renewal applications and change requests across all markets.
  • Manage local jurisdiction licensing applications including business licenses, conditional use permits, and fire inspections.
  • Maintain a database of ongoing construction projects related to licensing and compliance.
  • Coordinate with the finance department for timely submission of licensing payments.
  • Review, summarize, and maintain a database of vendor contracts.
  • Maintain a database of equipment warranties.
  • Review and recommend changes to existing insurance policies.
  • Research and review applicable statutes and regulations for licensing requirements.
  • Maintain documentation for business administration purposes including operating agreements, leases, and permits.
  • Communicate with regulators regarding license renewals and change requests.
  • Collaborate with the CCO and outside counsel on ownership disclosure forms.
  • Coordinate with investors to collect and file documentation for regulatory agencies.
  • Provide general compliance support for cannabis licenses and change requests.
  • Assist in collecting and preparing due diligence documentation.

Requirements

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Familiarity with Windows, Microsoft Office, and Google Drive.
  • Advanced knowledge of Adobe Acrobat.
  • Ability to understand and read complex contract language.
  • Ability to track and execute multiple projects simultaneously with varying deadlines.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively with other departments.
  • Ability to interpret local, state, and federal laws and regulations related to licensing.
