About the position

ARC Group is currently seeking a dedicated Paralegal with a strong background in litigation and a passion for Construction Law to join a rapidly growing law firm specializing in this field. The firm prides itself on providing exceptional legal services to a diverse clientele, including contractors, developers, and construction companies. As the firm expands, they are looking for a skilled and experienced Paralegal to become a vital part of their dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have over 5 years of experience in the legal field, particularly in litigation, and will possess a Bachelor's degree and a paralegal certification, both of which are preferred qualifications. The candidate must be adept at legal research and have a thorough understanding of laws and regulations pertaining to Construction Law. In this role, the Paralegal will assist attorneys with all phases of construction litigation, which includes document preparation, discovery, and trial preparation. The position requires conducting comprehensive legal research and analysis related to Construction Law and its associated regulations. The Paralegal will also be responsible for drafting, reviewing, and managing various legal documents, such as contracts, pleadings, motions, and subpoenas. Additionally, the candidate will organize and maintain case files, ensuring that all documents are up-to-date and easily accessible. Effective communication with clients, witnesses, and experts is essential, as the Paralegal will schedule meetings and interviews as necessary. Furthermore, the role involves preparing and filing legal documents with courts and administrative agencies, managing and tracking case deadlines and court dates, assisting attorneys with deposition preparation and coordination, conducting due diligence and fact-finding investigations, and providing general administrative support to attorneys and other team members.

Responsibilities

  • Assist attorneys with all phases of construction litigation, including document preparation, discovery, and trial preparation.
  • Conduct comprehensive legal research and analysis related to Construction Law and related regulations.

Requirements

  • Over 5 years of experience as a Paralegal, with a focus on litigation.
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field (preferred).
  • Paralegal certification from an accredited program (preferred).
  • Extensive knowledge of Construction Law and related regulations.
  • Strong legal research and analytical skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficient in legal software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet tight deadlines.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively with a team.
