Zurich North America's Maitland, FL and/or Hollywood, FL Staff Legal Office is currently seeking a General Liability Paralegal to join their dynamic team. This position is designed to provide essential support in moderate to complex liability litigation cases, which may include tasks such as case work, research, discovery responses, and managing subpoenas. The successful candidate will work under the supervision of an attorney and will be expected to demonstrate a solid understanding of general liability law. This role is pivotal in ensuring that the legal team operates efficiently and effectively, contributing to the overall success of the litigation process. The General Liability Paralegal will be responsible for a variety of tasks that are critical to the legal process. These include providing legal support to three attorneys, drafting legal pleadings, correspondence, and other necessary documents as directed. The paralegal will also conduct legal and documentary research, monitor case schedules and filing deadlines, and prepare discovery requests and responses. Additionally, the role involves conducting interviews, summarizing depositions, and managing medical records, all of which are essential for trial preparation. The paralegal will interact with customers, clients, counsel, and witnesses, responding to inquiries and maintaining effective communication throughout the litigation process.
