You will work closely with Lyft's in-house Employment Legal team and its People/HR team to provide a balanced mixture of project management, analytics, litigation, and administrative support. Responsibilities

  • Organize and improve Employment Legal files, build processes and protocols for Employment Legal to reach maximum velocity
  • Support attorneys in managing litigation
  • Assist attorneys in developing and updating employment-law related trainings, playbooks, and processes
  • Project manage large scale projects
  • Conduct legal, business, and/or media research to identify legal and HR trends
  • Field and triage incoming advice and project requests from internal clients and external vendors, and analyze requests to spot internal trends
  • Manage and track administrative, pre-litigation and litigation matters, as well as external legal requests
  • Serve as primary point of contact with Outside Counsel and Lyft's People Team on e-discovery, witness, and document gathering issues; Calendar/docket response dates
  • Provide administrative support on as needed basis to Lyft's in-house employment attorneys
  • Think proactively about improving processes to help Lyft's legal operations continue to scale effectively with incredible growth and partner with the Legal Operations team to implement
  • Liaise with other teams within the company and external parties to ensure efficient workflow and handling of requests
  • Draft template agreements with assistance of attorneys

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree and 2+ years relevant legal experience (preferably at a technology company)
  • Experience in administrative, legal, operations, project management or other experience requiring attention to detail, event planning and time management
  • Interest in employment law and HR issues
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Exceptionally organized, efficient and communicative
  • Proficiency working in a Mac environment, and specifically with Google Apps (Gmail, Calendar, Docs, Sheets, etc.), Dropbox, Excel, Outlook and Word
