As a Paralegal II at Cambia, you will play a crucial role in supporting our legal team in managing business transactions and litigation matters. This position is designed for individuals who are passionate about serving others and are eager to contribute to a person-focused health care system. You will be responsible for providing high-level paralegal services to Cambia attorneys, ensuring that all legal processes are handled efficiently and effectively. Your work will directly impact the quality of health care experiences for our members, making this role both rewarding and significant. In this position, you will support in-house attorneys throughout the discovery process, maintaining databases and information repositories that relate to business transactions and litigation case statuses. You will assist in preparing litigation reports and other legal documents, ensuring that all materials are accurate and comprehensive. Your responsibilities will also include individual litigation case management support services, which encompass preparing intake forms, collecting case background information, and scheduling witness interviews and depositions. You will be expected to address legal inquiries and respond to requests for information, demonstrating your ability to exercise judgment and discretion in sensitive matters. The ideal candidate will have a college degree and/or a paralegal program certificate, along with 5-7 years of experience in a corporate legal department or law firm. You should possess strong organizational skills, the ability to prioritize workloads, and the capability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously. Proficiency in standard office equipment and software applications is essential, as is a solid understanding of legal terminology and court rules relevant to Cambia's operations. This role requires minimal supervision and the ability to take on increasingly complex responsibilities as you grow within the company.
